Baci di Dama from Northern Italy consist of two hazelnut biscuits sandwiched together with a dollop of dark chocolate. Literally translated to “lady’s kisses”, the name originates from their resemblance to two lips intent on giving a kiss. Crumbly and melt-in-the-mouth, they are perfect with an espresso or as an afternoon snack.
